| Our musical orientation is as wide as the Motherland. Historically our roots are that of blues, due to varying band member passions and instrument skills, the band plays a diverse range of music, from Funk, Jazz, Rock, Latina, Reggae, Italian Lyrics, Popular classics and Russian Songs right through to blues – these are the styles that “Scolder” take to, like a fish takes to water. To be precise, not fish but divers – “pearl divers”. That’s where the band’s name comes from. “Scolder” means “Diver of Pearls” in some Indian adverb. Every song we play is like a pearl caught in the endless ocean of the music world. “Blues” – the second word in our name is for the music style that we admire most. We had to pick just one from the top of the list of our favourite styles to avoid calling our band “Scolder Blues, Fank, Jazz, Rock... etc.”)))))))…. |
